Here’s where it gets extra juicy
Many of the product imagery, shop set up and marketing tips are things you can absolutely apply to your originals and your art business as a whole.
Who is Art Print Empire a good fit for?
We’ll focus on print reproductions of your original art pieces (painting, watercolor, 2D fiber art (like embroidery, tufting), etc… even 2D ceramic or glass wall sculptures as long as they can lay flat to be photographed) so this is tailored to artists who already have 2D artwork made that they would like to turn into reproduction prints to sell. This is ideal for artists starting the print process from scratch. Artists who already have print files made can still benefit from the marketing and sales aspects of the course - it’s about 30% image capture, printing & framing and 70% product imagery, marketing and selling.
What’s NOT covered in the mini course?
The course does not cover NFT’s at all or how to create digital art (though if you have digital artwork already created (such as with Procreate) and you’d like to learn how to physically print and sell it, this may be right for you!). Same goes for fine art photographers, many of the lessons on product imagery, marketing and selling would still apply, though this is not specifically tailored to photography. This is also not intended for surface pattern designers.
Why a text-based course?
I wanted to create the portfolio of resources I wish I’d had when I was struggling to figure out how to produce and sell prints early on. This is not just something you’ll skim through once or twice, it’s a guidebook you’ll come back to over and over as you expand your own art print empire. Full of specific tips, step-by-step tutorials and graphics you can reference for capturing images, color correcting, image sizing, getting great product imagery, marketing and even stretching past your limiting beliefs.
Get to know Emily
I’m a fine artist creating colorful abstract paintings in my dream city of New York. I’ve been an artist my whole life, but when it came time to try to make it my career I was completely lost. When I started out, Instagram didn’t even exist!
I kept going and learned A LOT along the way. I’m now a very well-fed artist represented by 3 galleries, selling on Anthropologie and expanding my art print empire. I know the art business thing can be daunting, but we’re truly so luckily to be living in this whole new beautiful art world era where artists can sell their art online… and I LOVE helping other artists navigate it.
A few exciting places prints have taken me so far:

Anthropologie
HGTV Smart Home 2022
One of my prints cleared to be in a Richard Curtis (Love Actually, Notting Hill) movie… didn’t make it into the movie, but I call this a huge win for my inner 14 year old
Molly Bernard’s (Younger) Brooklyn home featured by West Elm and Clever
My first $10k month and beyond
What other artists are saying
“I found Emily’s experience and perspectives to be particularly valuable. She has a vast knowledge of different sales and marketing platforms that has helped me diversify my business and make new connections.
There are so many avenues in the art world to explore and being an emerging artist, it’s hard to know which path is right for me and my goals. Having Emily’s advice on where to focus my efforts has helped me to make both short term and long term action plans.”
- Amanda McLaurin, Fine Artist
